When IVF Isn't Working: Naturopathic Support for Repeated Implantation Failure

Why isn’t it working?

You’ve done everything right. You’ve shown up to every appointment, taken every supplement they’ve suggested, followed every protocol. And still, it hasn’t worked. Repeated implantation failure is one of the most heartbreaking and least-talked-about experiences in the fertility space — and one of the most complex.

There is no single reason embryos don’t implant. But there are many layers worth investigating.

Repeated implantation failure can feel like being stuck in a loop — doing everything right, following every protocol, and still not getting the outcome you’re working so hard for. You’re exhausted. And you deserve better than “let’s just try again.”

Jacintha Gunasekera is New Leaf’s fertility and IVF naturopath, offering structured, evidence-informed 1:1 care that works alongside your IVF team to address the foundations that influence implantation.

What We Look At

Repeated implantation failure is rarely about one thing. A naturopathic approach considers:

  • Immune and inflammatory factors — elevated NK cells, autoimmune activity, chronic low-grade inflammation
  • Endometrial environment — receptivity, microbiome, blood flow
  • Mitochondrial and egg quality — oxidative stress, nutritional status, CoQ10 and antioxidant support
  • Thyroid and metabolic health — subclinical imbalances that are often overlooked in standard IVF workups
  • Gut health — nutrient absorption, the gut-hormone connection
  • Nervous system and stress load — cortisol patterns, sleep quality, the physiological cost of repeated loss
  • Nutritional gaps — beyond the basics; targeted testing to identify what your body specifically needs

You are

unique.

No two IVF journeys

are the same.

Jacintha has a specialist clinical focus in infertility, IVF support, and miscarriage and pregnancy loss. She understands the emotional weight of this journey as much as she understands the physiology behind it.

Jacintha welcomes all individuals and all couples.

This Is Not Generic Fertility Advice

Everyone navigating IVF gets handed the same list: eat well, reduce stress, take folate. You already know that.

What we offer is a clinical picture built around your history, your cycles, your results, and your body. Every treatment plan at New Leaf is individualised. That means we start with your story — not a protocol.

We work from your existing results. We also know when to recommend further testing — and which tests are actually worth having.

How Naturopathic Support for RIF Works

All consultations are online via telehealth. No waiting rooms. No travel. Just a conversation that actually goes somewhere.

New patients start with a 90-minute initial consultation. From there, follow-up appointments build on your history and track your progress. Most patients working through an IVF cycle benefit from ongoing support across the lead-up period and between transfers.

Not sure if this is right for you? Start with a free 15-minute Fertility Clarity Call with Jacintha — no pressure, no pitch. Just an honest conversation about where you’re at and whether we’re a good fit
