Lets explore our New Leaf practitioners’ Naturopath Survival Kits
First up – Jacintha always travels with a small survival pouch — lip balm (currently loving Hurraw’s tinted balms), a water bottle, and Rescue Remedy (anxious souls unite).
But in this upcoming luxurious Summer break-time between Xmas clinic closure and NY re-opening, Jacintha is all about the At Home Rest & Recalibration Summer Survival PANTRY…
Think:
-
-
Luxurious granola – I don’t want my boring breakfast over the Xmas break! I make it Fancy: chunky coconut chips, dried mango, dried figs, big chunks of nuts (macas, pecans, almonds), All The Seeds, dark chocolate bits…sometimes I’ll roast up some rolled oats coated in cacao/cinnamon/maple syrup…this year I’m thinking to fancy-it-up with rolled oats coated in a matcha blend!
-
-
-
Luxurious snacks – I’m doing slices of my organic cold ham on Everything! I’m making a Huge Batch of tamari almonds – and gifting some as well! My fruit bowl(s!) will be laden with dozens of mangoes, peaches, and nectarines to snack on and add to every meal. I’ll be having delicate pieces of Sri Lankan Love cake and Christmas cake that I know my m&d will give me.
- Luxurious soda water – Summer hydration isn’t something to muck around with. But also, I want to feel I’m living large! I’ll fancy-up my soda water with fresh lime juice, and in the afternoon/evening with some crimson Campari!
-
-
- Luxurious meal planning – this is the time I stretch out under the fan, surrounded by my favourite veg-loving cookbook authors (Hetty McKinnon, Yottam Ottolenghi, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Tim Spector (Zoe)…and play around with recipes I haven’t had time to do eg. ferments, homemade fresh cheeses, and work out which recipes I’m going to add into my weekly meal plan rotation.
This kind of nourishment matters — not just for summer enjoyment, but for long-term health too.
